What makes high-altitude wines so special? Wines typically show the best expression of the varietal grown in higher altitudes. Expressive, characterful high-acid wines born from often 'heroic viticulture' (exclusively farmed by hand on steep slopes often in marginal climates). Low yields are paired with complexity due to a longer growing season, and the craftsmanship of characteristically low-volume wines represents an irresistible mix for experienced wine consumers.
